Christmas Eve note

First off, Merry Christmas Everybody!

Second, the semester is FINALLY over and I passed the one class I was a little iffy on, meaning that I WILL graduate this semester! w00t! Took 3 1/2 years at a school where 5 or 6 years is the norm. I will be getting a Bachelor’s degree in Film. Now I have to look for a job….and that’s a tale for another day.

Third, this update’s new games. Most of these are free to download PC, but eh, they’re games. Two of the games are courtesy of Good Old Games, which I’ve been eyeing and will probably purchase the original Fallout games from in the near future. The only reason I haven’t been raiding their stock is my fondness for having my games on a physical medium. Also, in an event rarer than a blue moon, I have purchased a PS3 game! I’ve been looking to pick up Valkyria Chronicles for a while now and after hearing that it only sold 33,000 copies in November, I figured I’d better pick it up now before stores stop stocking it (my local Fry’s wasn’t carrying it anymore). And my current interest in 2D fighters continues with Guilty Gear XX Accent Core for the Wii, fun game. I’d probably have more fun if I were better at 2D fighters in general, but I’m at least above button mashing.

Beneath a Steel Sky (PC)
Eternal Sonata (360)
Guilty Gear XX Accent Core (Wii)
Lure of the Temptress (PC)
Savage: The Battle for Newerth (PC)
Savage 2: A Tortured Soul (PC)
Valkyria Chronicles (PS3)

Right now I’m looking forward to a few games coming up. Resident Evil 5, Street Fighter 4, and Halo Wars all have Collector’s Editions and have my interest. Speaking of which, my local Fry’s still has a mountain of Halo 3 Legendary Editions and is selling them off for $60. I’m starting to consider holding off on buying my CE’s and just waiting until Fry’s gets them cheap. Unfortunately, if a CE does become rare, then I’m screwed and will have to pay extra to get it second hand.

Well, other than that I’m not sure what else I have to say right now. I promise the star of the second season of my LE Reviews with my next post, so any suggestions are welcome.

Again, Merry Christmas!
