Game Collection Part 1: Sega and Microsoft

I’ve been planning on doing this series of Blogs for a while now and I figured now would be a good time because I’m not planning to buy another game until SoulCalibur IV. I haven’t added my collection into the space allotted by GameTrailers because their list is less than comprehensive and would be missing a lot of titles.

I’m currently planning three posts:

Part 1: Sega and Microsoft
Part 2: Sony and PC
Part 3: Nintendo

I’ll be providing my own little commentary on each console as I go.

Sega Genesis

I’ve never actually owned a Sega Genesis. My one game here came out of me working to complete my Castlevania collection.

  • Castlevania: Bloodlines

Sega GameGear

I bought my GameGear along with the one game off of a friend in the 10th grade, maybe five years ago. Thing eats batteries for breakfast. Aside from owning it, I never really sought more games for it.

  • Sonic the Hedgehog 2

Sega Dreamcast

I picked up my Dreamcast after it had already died on the market but they still had used systems and games at Gamestop. My mom gave it to my sister and I as a joint present along with a second controller and a VMU for each of us. They still had new accessories available, curiously enough.

Microsoft XBox

The original XBox was originally a birthday present to my sister from my parents so it technically isn’t mine, although I do own most of the games for it. My sister originally wanted it for Dead or Alive X-Treme and promptly returned it when she realized that it sucked.

Microsoft XBox 360

The 360 was my first current-gen system. It was just before Christmas time and my mom let me have the contents of our change jar as my Christmas present and it totaled nearly enough to buy the X-Box 360 Premium version, which I did after chipping in the rest myself.

Microsoft XBox Live Arcade

I’m honestly not too interested in Microsoft’s Arcade offerings, but I do snatch up any full games that they offer up for free.

  • Aegis Wing
  • Hexic HD
  • Undertow
  • Yaris

Aaaaand That’s about it for today. I’ll probably throw the second part of this up on Monday and the third on Wednesday and finish up the week with another LE Review. I’m also thinking about just buying a custom tab and put my game collection in there after I’m done postin them here. Oh well, we’ll see.
